Public Safety Services
The Oxford Police Division provides police services for the entire Oxford community. The OPD is an integral part of developing and maintaining a safe and secure community through community collaboration and proactive public safety strategies. The OPD is composed of sworn police officers, dispatcher/clerks, public safety assistants, and other civilian support staff. Their mission is to promote a personalized, proactive partnership between the Police and the Oxford community in order to reduce crime and improve quality of life.

The OFD provides fire and emergency medical services to the entire Oxford community. The OFD provides fire suppression and advanced life support services. The OFD is composed of full-time staff members, as well as, part-time and volunteer firefighters/EMTs. Their mission is to increase public safety by eliminating hazards, educating the community, and providing efficient EMT and fire services.

The MUPD provides police services for Miami University’s students and campus. The MUPD is composed of sworn police officers, communication specialists, and civilian support staff. Their mission is to maintain a safe community through collaboration, service, protection, and enforcement.

The Butler County Crisis Support Team responds to and addresses mental health crisis needs in the Oxford community. They work closely with our public safety personal but can also be called directly for assistance.
