Public transit
The Butler County Regional Transit Agency (BCRTA) provides bus service for Miami University students and Oxford residents, with services to Hamilton and Middletown. Find out more on the BCRTA website
Micromobility
The City licenses e-scooter providers. Operators are to ride on the road and park out of the public right of way.
Ridesharing and taxis
Ridesharing companies such as Uber and Lyft operate in Oxford and are regulated by the State of Ohio. The City of Oxford licenses taxicabs.
Complete Streets Policy
The City of Oxford adopted a Complete Streets Policy in 2019. Complete Streets are defined as:
…streets that are designed for all users of the public right-of-way who can safely and conveniently reach their designations along and across a street or road, regardless of their chosen mode of transportation, age or physical condition. All users include pedestrians, cyclists, transit and school bus riders, people with disabilities, motorists, freight haulers, service personnel, and emergency responders.
