The Clerk of Council attends all meetings of the Council and keeps an accurate record of all proceedings and tracks all ordinances and resolutions enacted by Council.
The Clerk of Council prepares Council agendas and minutes and responds to citizen’s request archival, business, legislative and historical information.
The Clerk also coordinates the appointments to the City boards and commissions and is responsible for updating the City Municipal Code.
The Clerk of Council acts as the City of Oxford's Public Records Custodian and responds to all public records requests, except for Police Department records.
