From a woodland inhabited by the Myaamia Tribe, to a small, plotted township in 1810, to an incorporated village of 700 in 1830 to a City with an adopted charter in 1960 and finally, to the City of Oxford in 1971, Oxford has been growing and welcoming residents and students from all over the country and the world. Oxford has always been a mecca for education, home to Miami University throughout its entirety. Furthermore, our vibrant Uptown and diverse residents have always been a source of pride in the community.
