Barkham Park

Gated Canine Community

5211 Bonham Road

The City of Oxford's newest dog park is now open! Barkham Park has two sections. The Smaller Dog Area is for dogs under 35 lbs and is closed while new grass is established. The All Dog Area is open and ready for your furry friends.

This neighborhood park features beautiful gardens maintained by Oxford's Des Fleurs Garden Club. It is not available for reservations but is free and open year-round for the community to enjoy.  

Leonard Howell Park

Public Park, Shelter, Playground, and Soccer Fields

5200 Bonham Road

Leonard Howell Park is named after Oxford's first City Manager, Mr. Leonard G. Howell. Mr Howell was City Manager from 1962 - 1967. 

This park is open from dawn to dusk daily. There is no parking overnight.

This park features a shelter, playground, basketball goal, and open green space for athletic play. 

The park is open from dawn to dusk daily. There is no parking overnight. Alcohol and grills/open flames are prohibited. 

The shelter is free to use; reservations can be made here. 

Northside Bark

5160 Morning Sun Road

This one-acre dog park is for Oxford dogs to play off-leash. There is a small dog and a large dog area, as well as a play structure for kids. Note: there is limited parking available.

Oxford Community Park

This 113-acre park has lighted ball diamonds, two playgrounds, shuffleboard, horseshoes, sand volleyball, basketball courts, concessions, a gazebo, walking paths, soccer fields, natural areas, a trail, the Storywalk Trail, and an outdoor Aquatic Center.

Oxford Seniors Center Space is ideal for family and social gatherings, birthday parties, retirement parties, wedding receptions (no alcohol), and many other events.

Robert M. Artz Park

The corner of Chestnut Street and Main Street.

This is a neighborhood park with benches, planters, and a shady place to relax. This space is not available for reservation but is open year-round for community members to enjoy.

TRI Community Center

6025 Fairfield Road

This facility houses the City of Oxford's Parks & Recreation Department. The TRI Center features an indoor and outdoor basketball court, baseball diamond, tennis/pickleball courts, a picnic shelter, outdoor batting cages, two playground structures, and open green space. The indoor facility has a weight room and the TRI Learning Blocks Preschool. 

This center is open year-round, but outdoor facilities and reservations are weather-dependent.

Uptown Parks

At the intersection of Main Street and High Street.

Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Park has a beautifully landscaped area to sit, play in the interactive Kyger Rader Fountain and enjoy the Uptown views. 

Oxford Memorial Park is a gathering place for community events. It features the John W. Altman Performance Pavilion, which hosts bands and choral groups, the Summer Music Festival, and Saturday Yoga in the Park (weather and season-dependent). The pavilion also provides a shaded place to relax.
