Sealed proposals will be received by the City of Oxford at the office of the Service Director, City of Oxford Municipal Building, 15 South College Avenue, Oxford, Ohio 45056, until Friday, March 6, 2020 at 10:30 a.m. and publicly opened and read at that hour and place.  The City reserves the right to accept or reject any or all proposals; to waive any informalities in the bidding; and to enter into a contract with the bidder who, in their consideration, offered the lowest and best proposal.  The City also reserves the right to hold all proposals for 60 days after the opening date, although not accepted or rejected.

Prospective bidders are required to be ODOT prequalified at the time of bidding, award, and throughout the life of the construction project.

The work for which proposals are invited consists of the furnishing of all labor, materials and equipment required for the High Street Safety Improvements Part 1: BUT-27-15.25 FY2020 Urban Paving and Part 2: BUT-27-15.70 Pedestrian Safety Improvements RE-Bid.

Contract documents may be obtained from the office of the Service Director, City of Oxford Municipal Building, 15 South College Avenue, Oxford, Ohio 45056, where they are available for inspection by prospective bidders.  Each set of contract documents will consist of a specifications booklet and set of plans.  The cost of each set of contract documents and plans will be $125.00.  No refunds will be made.  Checks for the purchase of contract documents will be made payable to the City of Oxford.  Contract documents can also be downloaded, at the bidder’s expense, at www.cityofoxford.org.

Each bidder must insure that all employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of race, color, religion, sex or national origin and are required to follow all Federal Davis-Bacon prevailing wage rate requirements.

 

A pre-bid meeting will be held on Wednesday, February 26, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. in the second floor conference room at 15 S. College Ave., Oxford, Ohio.
