The City of Oxford is seeking dedicated individuals who live within five (5) minutes of the Central Fire Station (West Spring & South Elm), who would be interested in becoming Volunteer EMT’s or Firefighter/EMTs. This commitment would require 140 hours of training for EMT, and an additional 42 hours to become a Volunteer firefighter/EMT, as well as attending weekly training meetings and keeping up with State CEU requirements. Successful applicants must be a High School graduate; not less than 18 years of age, possession of a valid state driver’s license; possess State of Ohio Emergency Medical Technician Basic certification and State of Ohio Volunteer Firefighter Certification if applying for Firefighter/EMT or ability to obtain. Volunteers will be compensated $12.00/hr (rate varies according to certification). It is recommended you read this page before applying.
