Request for Proposals – City of Oxford Public Arts Commission of Oxford (PACO)

Project:

The Public Arts Commission of Oxford invites artists, designers, and the general public to participate in an open call for designs for a bike rack to be installed at the Police Station (101 E High St, Oxford, OH 45056) on the west side of the building. Please see exhibits A-B below.

Bike racks must be able to support two bicycles and have at least two points of contact with each bicycle. Artists should consult pages 5-8 of Essentials of Bike Parking by the Association of Pedestrian and Bicycle Professionals for additional bike rack best practices.  We hope to receive a variety of unique and creative solutions for a safe and secure bike rack.

Artists are responsible for both the design and fabrication. Artists may submit more than one proposal. Proposals will be judged on both concept and functionality.

Design Award:

The winning design will be awarded a $2,000 stipend.
