Leaf Pick Up Program to Conclude for the Season

Wednesday, September 16, 2020

This service will conclude for the season on December 11, 2020.  Any additional leaves must be bagged in approved yard waste bags and placed at the curb on yard waste pick up days.

The City of Oxford will begin the annual leaf pick up program on Monday, October 19, 2020.  This service is offered to Oxford residents at no additional cost.

Leaves should be raked to the gutter for pick up by City crews, except in areas where it could create a traffic hazard, such as the east side of College Avenue from Chestnut Street to Church Street.  In this case, rake the leaves to the area between the curb and sidewalk.  Please do not rake or blow leaves into the street, into a lane of traffic, or into a bike lane.

In areas of heavy, on-street parking, please rake leaves to a yellow “No Parking” zone for collection.  Please do not park on piles of leaves so that City crews may have access to them for collection.

Please do not put brush in leaf piles.  Brush will clog the vacuum hose on the collection machine.  Brush should be bundled and set out for regular curbside yard waste pick up.
