The Census is here!

Whether you live in the City of Oxford or not, it is important that you know that the decennial Census is happening now. Over the coming weeks, you’ll begin to hear and see more about it and why it is important. You might even see a commercial during the upcoming Super Bowl on Feb 3. Please know that it is easy, safe and important and that everyone counts, regardless of where they live.
Upcoming Dates
Date or Timeline | Description |
Week of March 12 | Mailers go out to households – online response option is open |
Week of April 8 | Another mailer goes out – if you did not respond online |
Week of May 1 | Census worker knocks on your door – if you still did not respond |
May through August | Up to two more personal visits – at this point the house is vacant or you are hiding! |
