Annual Leaf Pick Up Program to Begin

Tuesday, October 1, 2019

The City of Oxford will begin the annual leaf pick up program on Monday, October 28, 2019.

Beginning October 28, 2019, leaves can be raked to the gutter for pick up by City crews, except in areas where it could create a traffic hazard, such as the east side of College Avenue from Chestnut Street to Church Street.  In this case, rake the leaves to the area between the curb and sidewalk.

In areas of heavy, on-street parking, please rake leaves to a yellow “No Parking” zone for collection.  Please do not park on piles of leaves so that City crews may have access to them for collection.

Please do not put brush in leaf piles.  Brush will clog the vacuum hose on the collection machine.  Brush should be bundled and set out for regular curbside yard waste pick up.

Leaves to be disposed of before this program begins, should be bagged and set out as yard waste on normal trash pick up days.
