Consists of six members appointed by City Council plus a City Council member appointed by City Council annually for a term of one year. Of the members initially appointed by Council, three shall serve a term of two years, and three shall serve a term of four years, with all members thereafter (except for the Council representative) serving terms of four years. The members shall be residents of the City of Oxford.
It shall be the duty of the Public Arts Commission of Oxford to develop a plan for the promotion of public art in the City, to make recommendations to the City Manager and to City Council on the implementation of public art in the City, and to identify funding sources for public art.
