Contreras Road Water Main Bore Under Railroad
With the assistance of a grant from the Ohio Public Works Commission, the City of Oxford will be replacing and upsizing the water main under the Contreras Road railroad crossing (aka High St.).
Contreras Road will be closed from Locust Street to Lynn St. after May 25, 2020. A detour will be posted. This project is scheduled for completion by July 31, 2020.
State Route 73 Water Main Installation
City staff is in the process of installing and testing the new water main on SR 73 (Oxford Trenton Rd.). This project replaces an old water main that was not in the public right of way between the Springwood Subdivision and Retreat Lane.
Annual Street Resurfacing to Begin
City Council awarded a contract to Barrett Paving for the 2020 Street Resurfacing Project.
Traffic will be maintained, where possible, throughout the resurfacing project. Delays can be expected so allow extra time to reach your destination. Motorists should obey construction traffic signs and flaggers.

Curb, Gutter, and Sidewalk Replacements
This project was awarded to Jackson Construction and will begin in early April 2020. Specific areas of the City were marked for replacement in conjunction with the current street resurfacing program. This work is weather dependant and should be completed by mid-June.
CDBG Handicap Ramp Replacements
Each year the City applies for grant money through the Housing and Urban Development (HUD) to replace handicap ramps throughout the City. This year’s contract was awarded to Bearcat Construction. Handicap ramps will be installed/replaced throughout various locations in Oxford beginning in early April and shall be complete by mid-June, weather dependent.

Oxford Area Trail (OATS) Phase II
On June 4, 2019, Oxford City Council awarded this project to Sunesis Construction.
The construction of this section of OATS multi-use trail, for pedestrians and cyclists, is approximately 1.35 miles long and will connect SR73 East to Pfeffer Park on US 27 South. Funding for this section is provided by local government, Miami University, and OKI.
This project is scheduled for completion in October, 2020.
