Lieutenant Lara Fening commands the Support Services Section. This area includes Records, Communications, Parking, Animal Control, Community Outreach, Crime Prevention and the Public Information Office.
Records
The OPD Records section is responsible for processing and maintaining all reports and citations issued by Oxford city police officers. The records section provides public records requests to members of the community and conducts local background checks for requesting individuals. Traffic crash reports are available online. For other requests, such as Offense Reports, contact the Records Office.

Communications
Dispatchers at the Butler County Sheriff’s Office provide 911 and emergency dispatching services for Oxford Police and Oxford Fire. The non-emergency line, 513-523-4321, is answered by BCSO Dispatchers. Oxford Police Department also employs Dispatcher/Clerks who staff the communications center at OPD 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The Dispatcher/Clerks assist the public in the police lobby, perform Records functions, accept payments for parking tickets, assist communications with officers, and serve as the primary dispatch for parking and animal control. This unit is responsible for monitoring parking meter usage and enforcement as well as monitoring the new parking garage equipment. They are also responsible for maintaining the parking meter equipment, and are able to fix just about any problem.
