US 27 South Traffic Pattern Change and Traffic Signal Activation
Signs are being installed the week of May 17th to alert motorists that traffic patterns will be changing and the traffic signals will be put in flash mode. Traffic signals at the intersections of University Park Blvd./US27 South, and Chestnut St./Patterson Ave., will be put into full operation on Thursday, May 26th. This will also be the day that the traffic pattern is switched.

U.S. Route 27 traffic pattern switch
Butler County (Wednesday, May 18, 2016) – Work on U.S. 27 in the city of Oxford nears completion and traffic will be switched into its permanent configuration next Thursday, May 26.
There will also be a new traffic pattern shift at the Peffer Memorial Park bridge, as work on the sidewalk on the east side of the bridge continues.
The traffic signal at U.S. 27/Chestnut Street will be on “Flash” mode beginning Thursday, May 19 and will go into “Stop and Go” operation on May 26.
Expect significant delays on Thursday, May 26 as the new traffic pattern is implemented.
To help ensure the safety of the construction workers as well as the traveling public, motorists should remain alert, reduce their speed and watch for stopped traffic while passing through the work zone.
