Police and Fire Communications Center
Administered by the Division of Police, the City of Oxford’s Police and Fire Communications Center answers emergency and non-emergency calls for the:
- City of Oxford Division of Police
- City of Oxford Division of Fire
- Oxford Township Police Department
- College Corner Fire Department
Nine full-time and two part-time Public Safety Communication Officers (PSCOs) staff the Communications Center. They communicate with the various public safety agencies using the Butler Regional Interoperable Communications System.
Our center is the primary Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP) for the City of Oxford and Oxford Township. A PSAP is an agency responsible for answering 9-1-1 calls for emergency assistance from police, fire, or ambulance services. We receive landline and wireless calls.
If you live within our service area, you can submit special instructions for emergencies at your home or business.
