Casey has been serving the Oxford community through Parks and Recreation since May 2008. He began as the Sports Coordinator before being promoted to Sports Supervisor in 2013 and to Director of Parks and Recreation in 2016. Casey has a Bachelor’s Degree in Sports Management and currently working towards a Master’s Degree in Sports Administration.
Casey’s certifications and associations include: Certified Parks and Recreation Professional (CPRP), Certified Pool Operator (CPO), Certified Youth Sports Administrator (CYSA), National Youth Sports Administrators Association (NYSAA), American Red Cross Instructor, as well as a member of Ohio Parks and Recreation and National Recreation and Parks Associations. Casey also served on the CYSA National Leadership Committee in 2015 and currently serves on the Health Coordinating Council here in Oxford.
Casey and his wife, Heidi, reside in Eaton. They have three boys, Isaac, Austin and Ethan. Casey enjoys Cincinnati Reds games, golfing, playing outdoors with his boys and competing in obstacle races.
Deanna has been working for Oxford Parks and Recreation since 2000. She brings nearly 30 years of customer service and accounting, as well as 20 years of supervisory experience to OPRD. She completed a Master’s Degree in Business Management in 2014.
Deanna enjoys serving as an Executive Ministry Assistant and Youth Sunday School teacher at her church. Deanna and her husband, Clint, have two children together, Hunter and Hailey.
Darlene has been an Oxford resident for 24 years, and a receptionist at OPRD for the last 16 years. She has also served many other roles with OPRD, including Program Coordinator, Preschool teacher, and even the Easter Bunny! (Don’t tell the kids). Darlene is responsible for coordinating the Oxford Freedom Festival parade each year, as well as planning and directing our Birthday Party program.
In her personal time, Darlene enjoys spending time with her family. She and her husband, Dale, have a son named Trevor. Darlene also enjoys walking her dogs and traveling.
Jake is a 2004 Talawanda graduate. He played football for Miami University for four years, where he obtained his Bachelor’s Degree in Health and Sports Studies in 2008. Jake began with OPRD as a Sports Coordinator in 2013, and was promoted to Sports Supervisor in 2016. Prior to OPRD, Jake coached for Talawanda High School for two years, as well as worked for Miami University Athletics for one year.
Jake’s certifications and associations include: Certified Youth Sports Administrator (CYSA), National Youth Sports Administrators Association (NYSAA), National Youth Sports Coaches Association (NYSCA), Ohio High School Athletic Association (OHSAA), Amateur Softball Association (ASA) and National Archery in Schools Program (NASP) instructor. Jake and his wife, Abby, have three boys together, Quintin, Jace and Grant.
Ryan is a 2004 graduate of Miami University, where he obtained a Bachelor’s of Science in Education. Ryan worked for Coach Charlie Coles’ basketball staff for three years before heading to Countryside YMCA in Lebanon for 2 years. He later spent five years working for the City of Dayton as a Recreation Facility Specialist before coming to OPRD in July 2015.
Ryan’s certifications and associations include: Certified Parks and Recreation Professional (CPRP), American Red Cross, National Alliance for Youth Sports (NAYS) and National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC). Ryan resides in Lebanon with his wife, Jennifer, and three children, Maddi, Camden and Cooper.
Emily is a graduate from Northern Kentucky University, where she completed her Bachelors of Arts in Physical Education. Prior to beginning with OPRD in March 2016, Emily worked for the Atrium Family YMCA in Middletown as well as the Campbell County YMCA in Kentucky.
Emily’s certifications include: Communicable Disease, Child Abuse Prevention, and American Red Cross. Emily enjoys bicycling, visiting National Parks and playing sports in her personal time.
Dustin is a graduate of Union County High School and earned his Bachelors Degree in Sports Administration from Ball State University. Prior to beginning with OPRD in March 2016, Dustin worked as an Assistant Program Director for the Southwest YMCA in Louisville and a Gym Coordinator for the Boys and Girls Clubs of America in Muncie.
Dustin has been a licensed Indiana High School Basketball Association official, coached high school baseball and umpired Little League baseball. Dustin’s hobbies include golfing and Cincinnati Reds games.
Lead Preschool Teacher
Betsy has an Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education from Ashford University, and she has been the Lead Preschool Teacher with OPRD since 2013. Betsy’s certifications include: Communicable Disease, Child Abuse Prevention and American Red Cross First Aid/AED/CPR.
Betsy grew up in Sidney, Ohio but has lived in Oxford since 2000. She is married to John Jones and she has three sons: Dalton, Charlie and Wyatt. Betsy enjoys running and hiking with her family in her free time.
Assistant Preschool Teacher
Madison is currently progressing towards her degree in Early Childhood Education from University of Cincinnati. She began working for OPRD in January 2016. Prior to OPRD, Madison worked for All About Kids Childcare Center, as well as having many years of experience as a childcare provider.
Madison lives in Oxford with her fiancé, Dustin, and they have a daughter together, Peyton. She also has a puppy named Minnie and hamster named Olaf. Madison enjoys playing outdoors with her family in her free time.
