Statement of Purpose
The Mission of the City of Oxford Parks and Recreation Department is to enhance the Quality of Life for the citizens of Oxford and surrounding areas by planning, developing and maintaining quality recreation programs, facilities and parks.
Fair Share Policy
An Oxford resident or a person working in Oxford makes a significant contribution to the financing and operation of the Parks & Recreation Department. The city property tax and income tax are paid whether or not the individual participates or uses the facilities of the department. The fair share concept is intended to apportion to non-residents an equalized fee, so that they contribute to the overall financing of Parks & Recreation Department on an equitable basis with the resident. Non-resident fees will be applied to residents that do not live and/or work within the city limits of Oxford.
Adult Volunteer Opportunities
Become an adult volunteer for programs and special events throughout the year. Volunteer hours will earn you credits to be used towards certain programs and weight rooms. Call (513) 523-6314 for more information.
Participants may be photographed during recreation programs. Photographs may be used in printed publications; brochures, newspaper articles, fliers and web pages by the department. All photos are property of Oxford Parks and Recreation Department.
