Clerk of Council
The Clerk of Council attends all meetings of the Council and keeps an accurate record of all proceedings had and all ordinances and resolutions enacted by Council.
Ms. Mary Ann Eaton, staff liaison to City Council, was appointed Clerk of Council on Tuesday, July 7, 2009. Mary Ann had served as Deputy Clerk of Council since March of 2004. Some of Mary Ann’s duties include: responding to citizens, city departments and Council member requests for archival, business, legislative and historical information as well as, preparing Council agendas and minutes. Ms. Eaton also coordinates the appointments to the City boards and commissions and is responsible for updating the City Municipal Code.
