Biography

Kate Rousmaniere graduated from Oberlin College and has a Ph.D. from Teachers College, Columbia University. A former high school social studies teacher, Kate teaches in the Department of Educational Leadership at Miami University and has published several books on the history of American education.

A resident of Oxford since 1992, Kate is a Life Time member of the NAACP, a member of the Oxford League of Women Voters, and a former Board member of the Family Resource Center. She is married to a piano player, John Bercaw, and they have four grandchildren who attend Talawanda City Schools.
