PART-TIME FIREFIGHTER/EMT-PARAMEDIC

City of Oxford

 

The City of Oxford is seeking dedicated individuals interested in positions as Part-Time Firefighter/EMT-P’s. 

Applicants must be at least 18 years of age with a High School Diploma or GED; must be a citizen of the United States; must have a valid driver’s license with good driving record; hold a current Ohio Firefighter I Certification; hold a current Ohio EMT-Paramedic Certification. Shifts will be 12 hours in length.  Successful applicants will be limited to 1,500 work hours per year.  Candidates must be able to pass a physical agility test, background investigation, pre-employment physical, drug screen and polygraph examination.  Rate of pay is $12.00-$14.50/per hour depending on certification.  A part-time hire is not guaranteed future full-time employment. It is recommended you read the following document before applying: Before You Apply

VOLUNTEER FIREFIGHTER/EMT

The City of Oxford is seeking dedicated individuals who live within five (5) minutes of the Central Fire Station (West Spring & South Elm), who would be interested in becoming Volunteer EMT’s or Firefighter/EMT’s.  This commitment would require 140 hours of training for EMT, and an additional 42 hours to become a Volunteer firefighter/EMT, as well as attending weekly training meetings and keeping up with State CEU requirements.  Successful applicants must be a High School graduate; not less than 18 years of age, possession of a valid state driver’s license; possess State of Ohio Emergency Medical Technician Basic certification and State of Ohio Volunteer Firefighter Certification if applying for Firefighter/EMT or ability to obtain.  Volunteers will be compensated $12.00/hr (rate varies according to certification).  It is recommended you read the following document before applying: Before You Apply
