Commissions & CommitteesOxford citizens actively participate in city government by volunteering to serve on various boards and commissions.
The following Boards and Commissions with vacancies and upcoming vacancies include:
- Advisory Utilities Commission - three-year term
- Board of Appeals (Building/Housing) - five-year term
- Board of Zoning Appeals (BZA) - three-year term
- Civil Service Commission - three-year term
- Community Relations Commission - one to three-year terms (5 vacancies)
- Enviromental Commission - unexpired term expiring 6/30/2010
- Historic & Architectural Preservation Commission (HAPC) - three-year term
- Housing Advisory Commission - four-year term
- Income Tax Board of Review - three-year term
- Planning Commission - five-year term
- Recreation Board - three-year term
Most upcoming vacancies will be expiring in June 2008, if you would like to be considered to fill an upcoming vacancy, please sumbit your application by May 15, 2008.

Residents are encouraged to call the Clerk of Council at 513-524-5210 and apply for any vacancies that match their interests and expertise. Oxford City Council reviews applications and appoints members to fill term vacancies.
All boards and commissions meet at the Oxford Court House, 118 West High Street, Oxford, unless otherwise noted.
Applications are accepted for all City Boards and Commissions at all times and are kept on file for one year for future vacancies.
